The Whale Route could in fact cover all of the Western Coast of South Africa. Southern Right Whales come to the Atlantic waters off the South African coast to birth and feed on the rich plankton waters. As it is, the whale route is widely acknowledged to run from Gordon's Bay all the way to Arniston with it's most popular town being Hermanus.
