The small town, acclaimed for its excellent gastronomy is nestled between the imposing Franschhoek and Drakenstein mountain peaks, brimming with history, ambience and elegance and is a favourite amongst visitors to the area.

Things to do in Franschhoek include tasting the gastronomic delights, wine tasting, shopping and relaxing. For the more adventurous, hike, horse ride, fish or cycle in the wonderful outdoor scenery Franschhoek has to offer.

The many local wine estates are reputable and offer cellar tours, tastings and sales to visitors. Be sure to taste at least a few Franschhoek wines while in the valley.
