Surfing is popular in the Cape despite the Atlantic Ocean being cold. Some popular surf spots include Muizenberg, Kommetjie and Noordhoek, Koolbaai, Strand, Blouberg and Big Bay, Melkbosstrand, Eland's Bay and The Dunes.
Probably the most famous surfing spot in the Western Cape and South Africa is Jeffrey's Bay. The world famous seaside town has the "perfect wave".
Surfing is popular among both guys and girls of all ages. A number of the surf spots are ideal for long boards. Bring your wetsuit, especially on the Western Cape Coast.
