Cape Town Travel Guide
Table Mountain Golf Vineyards Bo Kaap Clifton Beach

Muizenberg has many old colonial style houses but is perhaps best known for its long main beach and warm and popular surfing waters. Muizenberg waves are best with a Northwesterly wind, offshore conditions create a slow rolling and curling wave, great for longboards and beginners. For those looking to rent equipment or learn to surf, see our page on surfing in the Western Cape.

The Masque Theatre in Muizenberg is one of the only centres for the performing arts on the Peninsula used mainly for amateur plays. It is also possible to go for a short train ride along the coastline from Muizenberg to the end of the suburban railway line in Simon's Town and back again for great views of the False Bay coast and the Overberg mountains in the distance.
