Robertson - Route 62

The town of Robertson on Route 62 lies in the Robertson Valley embraced by the Langeberg mountain range and is known for its variety of wines as well as its orchards, roses, bougainvillea and horse breeding farms.

Robertson was founded in the 1850's with many of the houses and farms in the area made in Victorian and Georgian Style. There are also a number of museums and churches that are open to visitors to find out more about yesteryear.

The town is also a great base for the Wacky Wine Weekend. A wine festival held each year by the local wine estates where a great time can be had by all!

The climate in Robertson is known to be moderate year round and is therefore the perfect getaway for Capetonians and tourists alike. The Breede River runs through the Robertson Valley and is therefore perfect for fishing, canoeing, bird watching, cycling, horse riding, walking and hiking trails. There are also numerous places to stay ranging from bed & breakfasts and hotels to wilder campsites.
