The south-easterly wind plays its part for wind surfing in the Cape. There are a number of dams where you can wind surf and of course it is also possible to ride the ocean's waves. Hard core wind surfers may decide to venture out to Cape Point where the winds blow almost year round. This of course is only recommended for experienced wind surfers.
Water skiing is possible on some of the dams around the Cape and in the Ocean. Jet skiing is very popular and numerous international competitions take place along the Blouberg beachfront, an area renowned for jet skis and Hout Bay as well.
