CTTG - Eland's Baai - West Coast

Elands Bay or Baai along the popular West Coast is known for its white sand, hot sun, good surf and delicious seafood. It is here too that the Verlorensvlei River flows into the Atlantic Ocean which is home to over two hundred different species of birdlife.

Elands Bay makes for the perfect weekend getaway from Cape Town where you can choose to stay in either a backpackers, caravan park, B&B or hotel.

If you visit Elands Bay and fancy a drive further along the wild coastline, look out for the entrance to the road that runs along the railway line. You’ll need to buy a permit from the local store to use this road but it is recommended as it allows you to cut across towards Lamberts Bay taking in the picturesque coastal scenery.
