Durbanville is in the northern suburbs of Cape Town and used to be called Pampoenkraal. Primarily a residential and commercial area, Durbanville is conveniently located between the popular Cape Winelands and the city of Cape Town itself. The area has entertainment, restaurants, movie theatres, shopping centres, golf courses, the Velodrome, a race course and the Tygerberg Zoo slightly further out.
Additionally, Durbanville is home to several excellent wine estates producing excellent wines enhanced by the cool Atlantic breezes and offer wine sales and tastings.
