Rugby is a very popular sport to watch in Cape Town and the whole of South Africa. The professional teams in Cape Town are the Stormers who take part in arguably the best rubgy competition
in the world, the Super 14. The Super 14 featuring teams from South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, runs from February to May every year with games on Fridays and Saturdays. The Currie Cup, the South African domestic championship, takes place from July to September every year
and games are also played on Fridays and Saturdays. All rugby games take place at Newlands Stadium in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Boland Rugby is also within the vicinity of Cape Town with their home matches taking place in Wellington in the Boland.
