CTTG - Bass Fishing

Largemouth and smallmouth bass are great fighting fish. The best bass fishing in the Western Cape is generally done in spring and summer but other times of the year do produce some nice fish. Many private venues have dams stocked with bass but the size and health of the fish varies from dam to dam depending on the water quality, food supply and population in each dam. Fresh water fishing permits, available from Cape Nature, are required to fish the rivers of the Western Cape.
