Located about 2.5 hours drive out of Cape Town near Touwsrivier Gecko Rock is a rugged yet beautiful landscape of mountains and fynbos.
Gecko Rock is run by Jonathan Deal, a serious outdoorsman and eco-adventurer. The accommodation is as rustic as it gets. A shower, braai/barbecue area and a small covered area serves as a kitchen/storage area.
Activities include eco-walks, 4x4 drives and courses, rock climbing and motorcycling. The team running Gecko Rock provide rock climbing lessons, guided nature routes, a veldschool and just about any tip on roughing it.
